Win $20!
« on: May 05, 2009, 08:40:41 PM »
In these trying economic times, TPC.com wants to help. We're already giving away a free MP3 player, prizes for posting, and paying you to post in the forum, but now we're going to step it up another notch. Prizes are dandy, but money is handy. We have posted an image of a twenty dollar bill somewhere in the forum. The first person to find it and post the url in this thread will receive a twenty dollar bill in the mail. It may not be much, but in these dark days of economic uncertainty, every little bit helps.

Please be sure to read and understand the rules of the forum and the rules of contest (below) before you play.

Rules:

  • In order to be eligible you must have made at least 10 posts in the forum under a registered username.
  • This contest is only available to users in the United States of America.
  • TPC.com is not responsible for lost or stolen mail. The prize will not be reissued.
  • Upon request, PayPal can be used to transfer the prize money.
  • Contest winner is responsible for reporting prize money and complying with all applicable tax laws.

And just so you know, the image of the $20 on the front page is NOT the image I've posted (although that would have been devious indeed!). I was waiting for some smart ass to try to claim that one.

Is this in an old post? I guess it has to be?

I will place an image of a $20 bill in a post somewhere in this forum.

That's all the hint you get. And Frankenposting is ok if you find and old topic that you just have to comment on.

Nothing? Nobody yet? No one wants $20?

Hints:
  • I edited the database and added the image so there wouldn't be an "edited on" tag in the post
  • The image doesn't have a file type (no .jpg, .gif, etc.)

I went through like 50 threads trying to find this thing. No luck, as normal with me.

I am going to use the forum as normal.  I don't feel like digging through dead threads looking for it.   :tiphat:

Try having it "appear' on the forum main page at a certain time, and the first one to "find" it, get it.  Or make it something that shows up only when you post.
